Enrique V. Veramendi joined Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal in 2002 and is a partner of the Public & Administrative Law Department. His specializes in administrative law, economic regulation and government contracts.
Enrique advises and represents local and foreign clients in the energy and public utility sectors, as well as in other regulated industries (agribusiness, pharmaceutical companies and banks). He regularly participates in procurement proceedings and deals with the regulatory aspects of major transactions. Recently he has taken part in significant investment projects and financing operations.
With his extensive experience in constitutional litigation and litigation against administrative agencies Enrique also provides advice and participates in investment disputes and commercial arbitrations.
He graduated with honors from the Universidad de Buenos Aires with a degree in Law in 2001. In 2006, he completed a Master’s degree in Administrative Law from the Universidad Austral and in 2008, he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the New York University as a Hauser Global Scholar. At present, he teaches Administrative Law in undergraduate and graduate courses at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, and postgraduate courses at the Universidad Austral.
Enrique Veramendi has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer in his field of practice by Legal 500. He has made several contributions in books and has published a number of papers and articles in his area of specialization. He has also been a speaker at local and international conferences and participates in initiatives for legislative and regulatory reforms at both federal and provincial level.
He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association.
